Introduction
Just outside of Dartmoor, the Elfordleigh Hotel was built in the early 1700s and has the ‘feel of an English Country House’. With 120 acres of woodland, it is the perfect venue for your country style wedding. The Hotel offers multiple wedding suites for your ceremony, additionally having amazing scenery and local parks to walk around. Elfordleigh Hotel was a finalist in the South West Wedding awards in both 2020 and 2021.
The Hotel has a large balcony area outside the front which is perfect for group photos with all your guests! This will make a great picture with everyone in as well as capturing your Venue in the background. We love capturing photos like these, where you can always look back to and relive those memories.
Everything has been decorated exceedingly and is modern but stylish. The hotel has kept its traditional designs and themes to preserve the history within the hotel. With neutral colours, every room is a perfect location and background for wonderful photos! And no outfit would look out of place.
Elfordleigh Hotel has Beautiful Scenery
There is an enchanting park area just outside where you and your newly married partner can take a range. There is a lovely woodland and river that you can walk through for the perfect photograph where you can share a warm moment and look into each other’s eyes with a gorgeously scenic background. We have recently taken elegant photos of one of our couples’ by this river. On the morning of their wedding, it was raining. However later in the day, the clouds cleared, the weather looked up and so we were able to go out in the park to take those stunning photos. We hired golf carts to go along the park and down to the river. That definitely was a memory that both our married couple and us will forever remember!
The tablescapes setup look fantastic – a unique style of accessories and tableware that matches with the room perfectly. Each reception area has lots of room with beautiful coinciding themes which is a magnificent look for your wedding! The aisle that you walk down can lead you outside by a wonderful garden area for a special and happy moment with the two of you. You can choose to add any details and decorations as you wish, such as ribbon chair sashes, or a romantic trail of flowers along the edge of your pathway.
