A lovely Wedding Venue choice
There are so many fantastic venues in Plymouth that you could choose to have your dream wedding. One great venue you may decide to book is the Plymouth Civic Centre.
Located in the town centre and opposite Plymouth Guildhall, this is a great venue to choose if you love Plymouth and the local area. The Civic Centre first began construction in 1958 and opened in July 1962. The building is listed as Grade II and is just a few minutes walk away from Plymouth Hoe. You could not ask for a great location.
Stunning interior designs
The Civic Centre is a gorgeous venue to get married in. The building has a stunning interior and the design gives a stylish 70s feel. There is a lovely warm colour theme and wooden designs that will match every outfit! Additionally, you can hire embellishments and accessories, such as elegant flowers and decorative ribbons! We are absolutely delighted to have photographed lots of beautiful weddings at this venue.
You can have so many wonderful photos of the two of you with your families; walking up the magnificent grand staircase, excitedly on your way to get married. You can adore and admire the venue’s breathtaking 20th-century design and elaborate decorations. We captured some fantastic moments that will be forever treasured by our couple, including them full of joy and walking up this staircase for the first time. They looked all around, amazed.
We also captured sweet moments of our lovely couple meeting friends and family at the top, leading to their ceremony. Following this, we captured some heart-warming moments of the just-married couple in front of the venue’s beautiful interior and displays as well as many photos of them sharing joy and hugs with family and friends.
Beautiful and local scenery
After you are married, you can celebrate and take a trip or walk around the local area. The Hoe is only a 5-minute walk away and is the perfect background for your exhilarating photos! We have recently photographed a lovely couple who got married at the Civic Centre and had so many wondrous photos taken on the Hoe. The day shined bright and the wind created an aesthetic effect in their photos. You can walk all the way along and have special photos together by Smeaton’s Tower with the calm sea in the background.
Just minutes from Plymouth Hoe is also the Barbican. Why not take a wander down and admire the beautiful waterside harbour and stunning views along the sea? There are plenty of restaurants serving fresh local produce which is perfect for your Plymouth wedding!
With this spectacular venue being in the town centre, there are lots of other choices and places you can book and visit on your big day. For example, nearby there is the Theatre Royal, Plymouth Pavilions and a variety of restaurants.
